This is a portrait of my husband. He was angry when I did it, so this is not his normal expression, but he had an interesting look on his face because it was controlled anger. Really he was enraged about a circumstance and in a sense gets this eerily calm look but under the surface you can see that he's upset. I wanted to capture this feeling of controlled anger as I was feeling it too. We weren't angry with each other but at a situation. Hopefully that feeling comes across in the piece.
